Mr Achan has been appointed as The Programme Director to the Percival Pott Training Programme. This is one of the oldest Orthopaedic Training Programmes in the country and has produced some of the finest Orthopaedic Surgeons including recent Presidents of the BOA such as John Getty, David Jones, David Dandy, Hugh Phillips. It's trainees still visit The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, The Norfolk & Norwich Hospital, Great Ormond Street as well as being based out of St Bartholomews Hospital and The Royal London Hospitals.
Links with Radys Children's hospital San Diego
Following the AAOS meeting in San Diego Feb 2011, Mr Achan visited the Radys Children Hospital to set up collaborative work with Dr Harish Hosalkar MD who has developed one of the leading Clinical and Research facilities in Hip preservation surgery in the US. The visit was extremely productive and likely to result in research as well as clinical collaboration to develop and deliver the latest care to young patients with hip problems.

INSEAD European Healthcare Leadership Programme: 
Mr Achan was selected to this prestigious programme at one of the top Business Schools in the world looking at ways to improve the global and European delivery of quality healthcare.
He has developed links with the University of Leiden in Holland and the Schultess-Klinik in Zurich as a consequence, and will be collaborating with both these units in the future.
